When I first started blogging, I was very into blog commenting. I had to make a choice between continuing to comment on a lot of sites, or spend that time focusing on the content I put on my site. In mid-December, I was able to make time for blog commenting again. Blog commenting is a well known way of link building.

More than two months since Livefyre launched on this blog and replaced the vanilla WordPress commenting system with a more social interface, metrics indicate the number of visitors has essentially remained the same — but the average time you spent on this blog has drastically decreased. The new group notification system and group chat seems interesting, but both features ceases to exist when the group reach 250 members (from then on you will only get notified from friends actions within the group). I really hope Facebook will change this asap. Everyone can invite people – not just the admin(s).

The truth is that I spend way more on these systems now than I did then. Disqus Comment System : I’ve used Disqus pretty much from the jump. People often ask me why I don’t use Facebook comments since I’m a Facebook guy. I’m perfectly happy with Disqus. Great tool.
