Posting frequently seems like a good idea, but if nobody is engaging with comments and shares, it feels spammy. (Twitter shares, by the way, jumped almost 5% on the announcement. What does it mean? I have been populating the page with shared items from Scoop.it and through Buffer , but is there conversation? Auto-posting news without your own comments is broadcasting (and nobody cares). Did I reach out and engage my readers? Nope, I was lazy and the stats showed it. Engage users, don’t just post and hope somebody cares.

The only way to know if your page has new comments is to browse the feed for the page. Pages can’t comment or even +1 a conversation unless that person is following the page. If you want to add a comment and the tweet you are posting is too long simply reply to the sender with your comment followed by a retweet of the original tweet. If someone retweets you say thank you and/or continue the conversation with them. Is there something in their recent tweets you can retweet in turn or comment on?
