push it towards your own cultivated community that plays on the world’s top social network. Please don’t confuse this with saying that you shouldn’t utilize Facebook or its network. Once you’ve built up the content, shopping experience, etc. In reality, they are just another spoke that ties back to a hub. I would love to hear why.

This is easy to understand given the fact that the HR community as well as PR people were among the dominant early adopters of the platform going back to its 2003 launch. They found a way for LinkedIn to make their jobs easier (think Pinterest and women). There’s even an iPhone/Android app that allows user friendly mobile participation.

Charity worker fired over Facebook comments – my real beef with the video below is that the guy is saying all the right things. I tend to only RT things when I find them useful to the community at large or if something made me think. Without a clear policy in place, you can’t make up rules as you go along.

Unfortunately many of these Tweets came from members of the community well outside of each Congressman’s districts. Once you set expectations for your community you need to keep them up. Instead of celebration and vigor from his base, Obama’s Tweets were met with mixed results. What do you think of the whole situation?
