Almost 3 years ago a bomb dropped on me when Microsoft laid me off. I was fortunate however to have a decent enough severance package to buy me the time to focus on myself. In the past 2 1/2 years I have scored 3 different interviews, 2 at Microsoft, and 1 for my current gig. It put my name at the top of the list every time.

About 6 years ago when I was still at Microsoft, I made the jump from whatever Microsoft friendly phone I was using at the time to the iPhone. I’ve tried buying non Apple branded accessories, and I always get burned, so I’ve been stuck with $19 for a cord, $29 for a charger, etc.

Especially when you can walk into a Best Buy and get a decent one for roughly $25. This wasn’t as much of an issue for me as I had been using the Microsoft Arc mouse for awhile which also has a low profile design. After having the store employee demonstrate a bit, and playing with it, I couldn’t resist.
