Why then are people and businesses promoting themselves and trying to get me to buy their stuff as soon as I connect with them? I most certainly do not want to click on your link to buy something or find out more about you. The former group will hopefully learn from its mistakes. Uh…ewww. It’s rude and presumptuous.

Note: If you do not have funds to pay a speaker, clearly articulate how your particular audience mirrors the speaker’s target audience (and therefore, is more likely to want to engage the speaker for follow-up work, buy their book, etc. Facebook Groups: Privacy Bait and Switch? No sooner would I characterize all twenty-somethings as having or lacking certain values, perspectives or challenges than I would any other group or generation. Before long, I was able to fix almost anything which went wrong and knew to buy replacement parts at the local Pick-and-Pull. The entire generation? Absolutely not.
