Despite its shortcomings (and there are many), Twitter is easy to use, and from a personal view it seems to hold fewer privacy risks than Facebook and location-based apps. I don't want to play Mafia Wars, buy a cartoon pig or anything else. Content is king, agreed. Twitter provides ready access to said content. to people like me.
