Every time I search for a product, I sort the resulting list by average customer reviews. This enables me to peruse how many total reviews were written and which percentage gave four and five stars. Then, I click into product description pages and scroll down to read other people’s reviews. I’m not alone.

Receiving an email message two weeks ago from Alexandra Kirsch — someone I never heard of — she quickly explained she was working with Aaron Strout (someone I have met) and Greg Verdino (someone I’ve communicated with here and there) and she explained she wanted me to review a chapter of a book.

I turned to the web and read customer reviews, watched videos, and compared specifications from TrueCar , AOL Auto , Kelley Blue Book , and Consumer Reports. If it wasn’t for reviews and videos, I don’t know what I would have done — as all of my friends recommended different models. The web did help me.

Returning from a 5-day roadtrip that was as much a journey of personal development and self-discovery as visiting new places, I immediately logged into my Yelp account and reviewed the hotels where I stayed, the restaurants where I ate, and the cafes where I drank. The staff are top-notch courteous and knowledgeable. No related posts.
