The simplest way to schedule tweets in HootSuite is by using the bookmarklet which you can find in your HootSuite dashboard when you hover over the Tools menu. This means that my tweet will come across someone’s feed after all of the automated Twitterfeeds that usually happen right at the top of the hour.

I scan 275 RSS feeds in Google Reader and I use dozens of bookmarklets and shortcuts to help me manage it all. The Toolbar then automatically feeds it into a new message. Some enterprising folks have taken data feeds from the BBC and CNN and ported them to Twitter. and automatically feed these into your Gmail database?

So after a full weekend of removing feeds that hadn’t updated in a year, I began to slowly collect feeds from new bloggers I have connected with since the last time I did a full sweep of my RSS subscriptions. I can access my RSS feeds on any computer I am logged into my Google account. The result? Why I Use Google Reader.
