You can see an example of this in the picture. Use A Bookmarklet. A bookmarklet is a tiny program (written in javascript) that fits inside a bookmark.Â

I scan 275 RSS feeds in Google Reader and I use dozens of bookmarklets and shortcuts to help me manage it all. Remember the EULA says they can gather personal information for targeting ads, and I suppose later they could fill too much of the screen with ads for example. For example, the Wall Street Journal problem (as Trevor noted).

For example, I use Gmail for my email, but I login with an @viperchill.com address and have even replaced the Gmail logo with my own. For example, if I want to leave a lot of blog comments, it’s going to be a hassle to constantly type in my name, email, and URL. And the to-do widget also.

As an alternative, trying using the shortcut keys (Right click on a bookmarklet >> Properties) which, when pressed after CTRL+L (CMD + L on Mac), will load a specific website. For example, now when I want to go to my blog admin I simply hit CMD + 1 and then type vca. How does TeuxDeux compare with Netvibes To-do widget?
