The Huffington Post The Huffington Post has added a “Hot on Facebook” module to its home page and in a sidebar on posts: I like this and think it will do a good job of encouraging user clicks, similar to the Digg widget that has worked well on news sites. Seeing that stories have been liked thousands of times certainly caught my interest.

To speak to both of those: Because of the way my blog template is structured, its difficult to get the photo credit right under the photo. In some templates, it shows up as extra-large quotation marks. So I get it as close as I can, unless the post has only one image, in which case I usually put it at the end of the post.

Install Recent Global Posts widgets: Display recent posts from all blogs across your network, and bump your featured blog posts to pin them throughout the day. Update topics for featured blogs: Create specific forum topics for each of your sites and reply whenever your blog posts get kicked out of recent posts widgets.

If you look in the bottom right, you’ll see a handy disclosure widget which reveals I’m now running Skimlinks on my main blogs. They’ve also got some interesting additional products to use, and set-up is either as simple as installing a WordPress plug-in, or just pasting one line of Javascript into your page template (s).
