And one thing I discovered very quickly about the photo community is if you want comments, you better start giving comments first. I started out on sites by photo bloggers I met at a photowalk in downtown Phoenix and branched out from there with people in their comments and on their blogrolls. In Google Reader, of course.

Dear Blog Comment Spammer, who just left a comment on one of my recent blog posts: I think whatever software tool or script that you are using is broken. When you have a fairly popular blog, you have to deal with comment spammers. Unfortunately, blog comment spamming still works apparently, or at least the blog spammers haven’t learned that it doesn’t work. Nonetheless, I’m still amazed at some of the comments left on the blog. Saved as a favorite|bookmarked!!}

Provide controlled platforms for consumers where they can air negative sentiment and share their experiences directly with you: Facebook, Twitter, Blog Comments, feedback webpage, complaints blog. Create Wikipedia articles, electronic press releases; leave comments on forums and blogs even those with <nofollow> attributes.

All you have to do is log in to Digg then go to your Settings and click on the menu item to “Import Feeds&#. Enter the URL of your Blog’s Feed and then you will be given a verification code to add to one of your blog posts so that Digg can verify your blog. How cool, right?!
