As engagement and sharing on Twitter, Facebook and other social tools continues to increase, many bloggers are noticing a sharp decrease in comments on their blogs. RSS and email subscriptions, site traffic and social sharing may all be continuing to increase. I love comments as much as the next blogger. Both are great.

Except that as I’ve gotten settled at the hotel I’ve found out that they block access to every social site. well… blocking social sites and sharing 5mb internet connections between 100 people… welcome to Europe. The trip's purpose was to teach one of their employees how to use blogger software.

Almost everyone has an outlet for blogging these days — whether that means a site running WordPress, an account at LiveJournal, or a blog on MySpace or Facebook. Recently, a group of green bloggers banded together to raise individual $1 donations from their readers. Blog Action Day will be on October 15 this year.

In the past I subscribed to several sites via email but reality was that I would never open them. I have a bloggers folders, a Listening post for my company, SEM/SEO related, etc. Its nice to check out at the end of the day and breeze over google reader. I equate it to how my father you used to sit down and read the paper at now.
