Certainly, it’s not a comprehensive influence formula like Klout , or other Twitter-influence arbiters ( interesting study this week from Sysomos ), but it’s easy to calculate, and I think it makes sense. So, I’ve started to look at followers per tweet as a metric that focuses on the efficiency of time spent. Im Jay Baer.

To be fair, I’ve only included those I’ve actually used (Radian6, Sysomos, Spiral 16) or tested (Meltwater, SM2). I looked at Meltwater Buzz a couple of months back and thought it offered a better platform than Radian6 (which is a good option in itself and often used as the industry example). Historical data seemed more robust as well.

We are aggregating vast amounts of data, and in our integration with Facebook for example, we don’t open up everything we get because some of it just isn’t relevant. “Who Should I Know&# for example, is a relevant and important question that needs to be better answered. If it is, we’ll include it in Viral Heat.
