  1. Nice post Lauren, but i can’t help thinking people who actively brag about their Klout score are blowhards, blowing their own trumpet. It may be an indication of someone’s ability to engage and influence others in socmed, but it’s biased, subjective and self-centered. (and of course I dont mean you or me or others.)

I reckon a score of who actually was influenced to take some action (real action and not just liking a post, photo or status update) would be more useful.

    cheers

    1. Agree but media means mediums – or channels. These PR wonks are comparing media channels with social channels (who can pass the press release around to the most people). CTA (call to action) can vary from an online activity (donating money to Kickstarter, or sharing on Facebook) to an offline activity. Never fear, though, the real world measurement is coming. I have (literally) a patent in it (since 2005).

  2. oh wait… I should add, my Klout score is 57. do i care? not really. Damn. 70 would be better. 🙂
And I find it interesting that Klout seem to have dropped their classification of different people on the basis of their score. Is that a recent change?

  3. Great info…Pity about those people called “the s***s” and how they hurt the disabled…
