Introducing The Modern Blogging MasterclassBy Gini Dietrich

Alright, boys and girls…ladies and gents.

It’s a big day in the Spin Sucks world.

Today we launch our very first (hopefully of many) online course…The Modern Blogging Masterclass.

What is The Modern Blogging Masterclass?

What is The Modern Blogging Masterclass, you ask?

It is a four-week online course that will get your butt in gear for 2016. It will prepare you for the dearth of content you have to produce next year. It will get you ready to rule the world…or at least your vertical market (because, let’s be real, only one of us can rule the world and that is my goal).

I’ve had many questions about who this is for. It’s for everyone. The thing about what we’ll teach you is it works for any organization, in any vertical.

Because it combines owned media with earned media, it’s less about this only works for start-ups or for healthcare organizations or for B2C.

It’s more about what your goals are, what you want to do next year, and how you can do it better and differently than anyone else in your industry.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to build a plan to eventually rank for your highly competitive, priority keywords
    or phrases.
  • How to find the questions your prospects are asking so you know what kinds of answers to provide.
  • How to build a content map, based on your organization’s priority keywords and the questions your prospects are asking.
  • How to determine your online competition so you can attract the right prospects and drive qualified leads.
  • How to repurpose content, create contributed content, and use media relations to reach new audiences.
  • How to build landing pages that are specific to your goals (more investors, more
sign-ups, more leads, more money) that you can track specifically to your efforts.
  • How to build content upgrades in existing content, to drive leads.
  • How to use traffic sources to drive the right traffic (and prospects) to your site.
  • How to build community, like we have at Spin Sucks.
  • How the constant changes at the social networks—and at Google—affect the work you’re doing.
  • How to create a dashboard and the kinds of metrics you should include.

 The Details

It begins a week from today—November 12—and runs for four weeks (with a skip to celebrate Thanksgiving in the U.S.) at noon ET.

We will record each course in the event you cannot attend live. There will be homework, with templates and worksheets (and maybe even a workbook!), that you will be required to complete before the following week’s class.

There will be a private Facebook group for you to join, where you can ask questions, get feedback, brainstorm, and talk with your fellow classmates…and with us.

It will be like attending a college course again, but it will be reduced to four weeks versus an entire semester.

You also will become a founding member in the Spin Sucks Crazies Club, which really means you’ll get discounts on future products.

You Will Need

For this to be effective for you, you will need to have access to Google Analytics to the site where you will be working to craft content.

You also need to be prepared to spend about three hours every week (one live and two doing homework). You will receive an email ahead of each class to tell you what to come to class prepared to do.

It would be amazing if you also have access to your site’s content management system (WordPress, Hubspot, Rainmaker, Squarespace) and know your way around it. And if you can easily add landing pages, even if it’s with some help from sites such as Unbounce or LeadPages.

This part is not necessary, but it is nice to have.

The Analytics part is necessary. You cannot do this work without having access to that kind of data.

Join Us!

You’d better get there fast, if you want in.

We have only 200 spots open, because this is a beta and we want to get the process down exactly right before we open it up to everyone, and nearly half are already taken.

Go check out the pretty landing page I built all by myself (using LeadPages) and get your spot reserved.

Hope to see you next week!
