A while back, I was looking at my Google Analytics for WUL and I noticed that my 404 page , i.e. the one you get when the server can’t find the page you’re looking for on a particular site, was the 4th most highly-trafficked page on my blog. And they wouldn’t bother to poke around on the blog to find it.

A Better Blogroll If you like highlighting other bloggers on your site via a blogroll, you will probably find that as you add more and more to them, it becomes a huuge list. What this does is let you select a certain number of blogs from your blogroll, and only that number of blogs will be displayed.

My first reaction was to check if the institution’s blog—the piece I manage—was still up. The blog is set up on a server separate from the institution’s homepage, a precautionary measure that was implemented so that if the blog was ever hacked, the University website would be protected.
