My blog often stresses me out. It’s gotten me thinking about how I personally define blogging success as it pertains to me. My blog isn’t really a source of income for me directly, but it has opened up quite a few doors for me in my career, so indirectly it does. Social Media Friendly Blogging.

Like many bloggers, I’ve gone in and out of writing, and that doesn’t help with maintaining a consistent flow of traffic to your blog. At the end of the day, driving eyeballs to my blog isn’t really the ultimate goal, writing useful and appreciated content is. 9 of my top 10 blog articles are social media related.

I knew running a contest would give my blog a traffic and engagement boost, but I was definitely curious to see how much exactly. 10 PostRank (50% higher then average). I would say that what the contest did for me was encourage existing readers of my blog to engage, not so much attract new readers. Tweet This! Related Posts.

I knew running a contest would give my blog a traffic and engagement boost, but I was definitely curious to see how much exactly. 10 PostRank (50% higher then average) -187 page views (about the norm) So my takeaway is that obviously my reader engagement increased quite a bit.
