I have personally been aggressively engaged in tracking the events in Mumbai through twitter, facebook, Wikipedia, flickr , various blogs and not forgetting good old Google. Having said that, this incident has shown us the way ahead on Citizen journalism and collaborative examples of online social media in the event of disasters.

If this was not enough: Within a few minutes a new page on Mumbai Terror attack was created on Wikipedia, with almost live feed and collaboration, and an embedded google map to display locations of impact. Vinukumar Ranganathan is posting almost live pictures of the scene right from the beginning of the impact, on flickr: [link].
