Look to Yelp and Forums When you get beyond social networks, the heaviest concentration of influential impressions is on ratings and reviews sites (32%), followed by discussion boards/forums at 29%. Someone in your company should be assigned to monitor and respond to ALL reviews and forum posts , positive or negative.

They can be found on the Steve Pavlina forums, forums for specific aspects of personal development (motivation, productivity, health) and they also like to spend time on Facebook Groups. The influencers behind forums are often the owners, but sometimes the moderators or just active users. I know this because that is my market.

One of the best things I ever did when I started my main blog today, Digital Photography School, is to create avatars, one of the best things that you can do. Gradually over time, I began to deepen my avatars. If you want to answer worksheets to help you work through creating avatars, it’s there.

I like Seesmic for Windows, but coming from Seesmic Desktop, there are some kinks (which I expressed months ago on the Seesmic Forum powered by UserVoice) that need to be worked out, such as the ability to copy and paste and the fact that Seesmic for Windows doesn’t have sounds. I’ve had two Twitter accounts for over a year now.
