The Irony: MySpace Okay, so in my previous paragraph, I mention that you should be an early adopter of social networks. However, I joined MySpace in 2006 to network with individuals who refused to use Facebook and to return to my liberal ways of accepting a lot more friend requests than I normally would. > click.

A vertical listing of my avatar, biographical data, friends’ comments, and links to their profiles encompassed Friendster’s simplicity. When the news feed arrived at Facebook , Friendster (and Myspace) began to die. Here’s a screenshot of the first half of my profile : I joined Friendster in July 2003. And so it goes.

Remember MySpace? I remember when Myspace was “talked up&# all the time in mainstream news, whether it was good or bad. Sure, the media shined more of a negative light on myspace, which accounts for most of the traffic, but the instant myspace hit the airwaves and everybody heard about it is when it hit its high point.

Remember, you’re not on Facebook, Google+, or MySpace here – this is a social network for business professionals. Worse again is using a photograph that looks totally different to your photograph on Facebook or Twitter avatars. Only interact in a professional manner with other users. Like this post?
