At business networking events, try to get to know people outside your group of trusted colleagues. While my personal one is not “secret&# per se, and even has the same avatar/photo as my professional one, I find it much more useful to compartmentalize, both for following others and being followed. What’s the catch?

You are attempting to post a long drawn out trolling style comment and you don’t have the balls to put your name on it, or use an avatar or a real email address. Therefore anything you say after you put in your phony name has no substance. At least not for me. Just my 2 cents.

Add an avatar and a bio at the minimum. Not saying some people abjectly ignore your preferences for event ‘spam’ — but most people probably just aren’t aware of how to configure that functionality (on FB, MS, etc). There is no reason to make a personal request. Not humanizing your profile.
