For blog posts with just a few comments the additional load isn’t too bad, but when you get a lot like me, showing avatars next to comment dramatically slows the loading time of a page. Mount caching directories into memory. Using Linux’s tmpfs feature, directories can be mounted into memory in temporary filesystems.
