Pro-active engagement is when you use monitoring and searches for industry specific posts, comments or tweets that you can either re-tweet, lets say on Twitter, or answer or make a comment on. Use a good blog searching tool like Technorati or Google Blog Search to find industry specific blogs. This is reactive engagement.

The best way to do that is using an RSS reader like Google Reader or Netvibes. ve set it up, your RSS reader will aggregate all of the new posts on those fantastic blogs in one place â?? feature in Google Reader, which brings all of your address book contactsâ?? Comments rss. Leave a comment.

I scan 275 RSS feeds in Google Reader and I use dozens of bookmarklets and shortcuts to help me manage it all. In addition, if youre a Google Readers shared items (yes, you Scoble !) or Google Reader shared feed through Yahoo Alerts. Regarding Trevors comment (if hes referring to "toread"), hes right.
