I first wrote about Everett Bogue six months ago when I was displeased he turned off the ability for people to comment on his blog. If a blogger wants to turn off comments, so be it. Blog comments and forum signatures are also an ideal place for linking to your Twitter feed. I find that if you provide interesting content on blog and forum comments, people are equally as likely to want to engage with you via your Twitter account too. Choose a good avatar. Include hash tags in your posts. What are yours?
