What does authenticity mean in 2013? . I go to my Facebook feed and I see links. So to get those people-to-people connections, I have to go to Instagram, where the “conversations” (via photos) are just that more authentic. Therefore the act of authentic, real engagement is so incredibly important. Jack Yan.

I am maintaining some activity at Ello, Tsu and Tumblr but I can’t check feeds there daily. Without instant spontaneous replies, retweets, comments and likes your social media accounts will lack the most important component: Authenticity. Tweetdeck keeps me very productive.

Monitoring The Internet & Social Media : Jeffry spends about 90 minutes daily reviewing about 50 Google Alerts, RSS feeds and Twitter searches that he's converted into RSS feeds. In addition, he also scans Twitter using the special columns in Tweetdeck. He has invested many hours honing these key words.

NOTE: Since I posted this on July 3, I learned that Google has acknowledged their special feed from Twitter expired July 2. Facebook has none of these , and Twitter has essentially nothing at all other than Twitter.com, a bunch of celeb and jock users, and Tweetdeck – for which they inexplicably paid $40 million.

Selective Tweets or only posting certain tweets to FB via Tweetdeck etc is a great way to integrate but not alienate. I think if you remain authentic in what you are sharing, then you can't go wrong. Social technologies make syndication and aggregation simple. because people want to connect with you because of who you are.
