The ever popular twitter app, Tweetdeck , has finally come to Android. Just announced, Tweetdeck 1.0 Tweetdeck had a whopping 36,000 beta testers prior to this launch in an effort to make sure the app worked without fail. What is interesting about the release, is that this particular version of Tweetdeck happens to be the most recent version of the app that has not even been tested for iPad’s or iPhone’s yet. Luckily, software developers are already one step ahead with their brilliant mobile and desktop applications. Well, as social media sites continue to aggregate my biggest recommendation for staying abreast with your updates is to select a few desktop or mobile applications that serve as your “Go-Tos,” where you can easily update all sites with one update. So, if I’m going to be doing a lot of work pushing out content for those two platforms, I utilize Tweetdeck from my desktop. When an application like Hootsuite, Tweetdeck or a mobile Twitter app like Tweetbot checks your account on Twitter, it’s what is called an “API Call” This does NOT include the number of messages you send through these tools, only the number of times the tool hits the Twitter server to check for more. Twitter is changing the number of times the application can do that from 350 per hour to 60. If you use a Twitter application to get to Twitter and post, it used to be that the application could make 350 “calls” to Twitter per hour. MORE >>

You should definitly be looking at downloading an application to help you manage your twitter account while you are out of the office.
