I personally know that I check Tweetdeck, Facebook, and my email inbox far more often than necessary. If there’s a big yellow Tweetdeck button in my Dock or some links shared by my friends on Facebook, I’m going to want to click around. If you can do the same with some of your applications, then I recommend that you do.

Twitter Tweetdeck I use Tweetdeck for serious twitter sessions. It doesn’t have the advanced functionality of Tweetdeck (such as cross-posting to Facebook), but it’s so easy-to-use that it’s my favorite Twitter app. Extremely handy while traveling, I also highly recommend Nutshell for casual social media users.

The Twitter integration in Netvibes actually includes the very same functionality of Tweetdeck. In fact, it’s so good that I have now uninstalled Tweetdeck from my Mac as this online version has some features even Tweetdeck was missing. Still travelling ? In other words: it’s absolutely awesome. YOU BET !!!

I tweet more frequently too, using HootSuite (my favorite Twitter application by far) to schedule tweets down the road. HootSuite puts all the accounts in one single interface (you can do the same with TweetDeck and Seesmic, I believe), but in terms of passwords, I usually use KeePass to store them with other relevant account information.
