Applications cannot leave messages on your wall without approval – period. Or one setting that I can check set to approve or deny applications posting to your wall. Tag photo approvals – Myspace even has an option to approve your tag in photos before it shows up on your profile / status updates. Related Posts.

Hide Updates by Third Party Applications. If you are viewing your newsfeed and see that an update is from an app (this includes HootSuite, Spotify, Tweetdeck, NetworkedBlogs, or anything with an icon), you can click on the dropdown arrow next to the update and select the Hide All by _. Good stuff! A Longed For New Privacy Settings.

One of the things you can setup in Twitter, HootSuite , TweetDeck , and other Twitter management tools are saved searches. There are many ways to setup your tweets to also be displayed on your blog, or sent to other social networking accounts such as Myspace, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Think of social media as a listening tool.

So here it is (and its easy): If you really insist on, or enjoy the convenience of, linking your tweets to Facebook, use the Selective Tweets application on Facebook. Selective Tweets or only posting certain tweets to FB via Tweetdeck etc is a great way to integrate but not alienate. Much appreciated.

Get a facebook page and a twitter address, and then use an app called “Tweetdeck&# – this enables you to monitor “tweets&# and facebook comments. I agree with you about TweetDeck. It is a great Twitter 3rd-party application that helps all of us monitor and prioritize the discussions taking place in social media.
