Twitter, Vine, Periscope Debut Rio 2016 Features

Facebook Introduces Rio 2016 Features

Facebook introduced a host of features in advance of Friday’s Opening Ceremony for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games  in Rio de Janeiro. Starting Wednesday, country flag masks can be added to photos and videos, including Facebook Live  videos, via the MSQRD  application, which is available for iOS  and Android. The social network will do the same prior to the Aug. 21 Closing Ceremony.

Facebook Debuts Featured Events on iOS App in 10 U.S. Cities

Facebook Live Goes Full-Screen, Adds Video-Only Mode, Extends Sessions to Four Hours

Twitter Introduces Emoji Targeting

Twitter ads application-programming interface product manager Neil Shah announced in a blog post  that emoji keyword targeting is now available to advertisers on the social network. According to Shah, advertisers can now target Twitter users who recently tweeted or engaged with tweets that featured emojis, with the help of six Twitter Official Partners : 4C , AdParlor , Amobee Brand Intelligence , HYFN , Perion  and SocialCode. Facebook Instant Articles Now Support 360-Degree Videos and Photos
