Facebook announced its acquisition of CrowdTangle, a platform that helps publishers formulate and monitor the performance of their content.

A statement on the CrowdTangle homepage from CEO Brandon Silverman and co-founder and chief technology officer Matt Garmur indicated that the platform would continue to serve clients despite the company’s acquisition.

A Facebook spokesperson said in an email to SocialTimes:

Publishers around the world turn to CrowdTangle to surface stories that matter, measure their social performance and identify influencers. We are excited to work with CrowdTangle to deliver these and more insights to more publishers.
