I’d rather see you start a blog or list your website in local directories. I like what Matt McGee had to say about NARs blog comment advice: Commenting on blogs can help with exposure, but it’s not a “campaign” and isn’t likely to make a search engine think your site is trustworthy, either. As you know, I use it.

Directory Submissions By nature, directory links are of a very poor quality. Sometimes I’ll also pay $100 or so to BOTW.org which is a human-filtered directory which can give me some great link juice. As soon as I’m cached in this directory I find my rankings to increase almost instantly.

Do you collect stats on results weekly, or per campaign? Do you use SEO, Google Adwords, Google Places? Do you submit articles to directories? Do you understand your marketing strategy well enough to train others to help you? Are you marketing to your existing list—email, social media, sms, hard mail, etc.?
