I could become a news / content site that makes money through advertising. Instead, I’m going to go back to my favourite type of marketing: affiliate marketing. Not necessarily the name of the product, but buying phrases that would likely result in a sale if this person landed on my website.

Not unless you have a huge link-buying budget and know how to get paid links that still count. If the homepage of the site was simply an article that covered a lot of things about viral marketing, do you think I would be able to rank as easily? They are much smarter ways to buy links (in private). This is gold.

Feeling bad about making money is silly because people will only buy something if they want to buy it. If you launch a product to your audience and they buy it in droves, realise that they made the transaction because they want the value you have to offer. and would maybe be interested in buying something I sell.

As I don’t just make money through blogging, I wanted to make an expanded guide which offered tips on affiliate marketing. Remember that people read your site for you, so they’re more likely to buy a product if it has your name on. This allows you to send people straight to PayPal to buy your guide.
