In this post I’ll share readers comments on the topic of making money from blogs as well as some of my own experiences and advice. Similarly, traffic from social bookmarking sites like Digg is generally much harder to monetize with contextual ads like AdSense than traffic coming from a search engine.

This helped a lot in getting repeating visits and creating a community around the website. The website makes money from Adsense. At some point, I did try to test other ways to make money by creating my own products (related to dieting) and through affiliate marketing but at the end I found that Adsense performs better.

The simplest was Google Adsense and I started off with it. Even now, I get about $100/month from one ad unit of Google Adsense on my blog although I have moved to better ways of monetization.
