I think the thing that struck me as particularly worthwhile talking about today was the deal with Radian6 / Salesforce and Twitter to give them real time firehose access to the Twitter tweets API , which as far as I know Twitter has never done that, has never given an individual vendor access at that level. Track things like audience/community sentiment (positive/negative) if you want to map effort to results.
