Note: The settings mentioned below may differ from one handset model to another. For the purpose of this blog, a Samsung handset is being used.

1. Using The Hide Apps Option

After you have used these steps, your desired app/apps will even disappear from your Home screen.

1. Open the App Drawer by swiping up the home screen
2. At the top right corner, tap on the three vertical dots
3. Tap on Home screen settings
4. Scroll down to the bottom and select Hide apps
5. Now, choose the app/s that you want to hide
6. Tap on Apply at the bottom right of the screen

2. Create A Folder With An Unsuspecting Name

This might not be a 100 percent sure shot way to hide apps but this can be used as a way to shield your apps from snooping eyes.

1. First, move all critical apps from the home screen to the app drawer. At least, your private apps would no longer be visible to anyone on the home screen. No matter how much he or she swipes the screens
2. Now, we shall be creating a folder. To do that, long hold an app and drag it onto another private app. This way a folder will be created. You can now move your other private apps by long holding, dragging and then dropping them in this newly created folder.
3. Next, we’ll be renaming this folder in a way that no one would be interested to tap on it. For instance, you can name it as “Bloatware”.

3. Hide Apps On Android Using The Guest Mode

Using a Guest Mode or Multiple users feature, you can install all your private apps in the newly formed user account.  Again, the settings to enter the Guest Mode or Multiple users feature may differ from one device model to another.
