I tell my students that I compare LinkedIn to the Chamber of Commerce, Facebook to the cocktail party, Pinterest to the digital scrapbook, Tumblr to the photo collage, and Twitter to the river.

Facebook LinkedIn Twitter in 2013

How Twitter Gentrified a City Intersection

Designed by Finnish illustrator Kustaa Saksi and painted by Canadian street artist Patrick Thompson, beer company Molson M commissioned the artwork near the Toronto intersection of Church and King Streets to complement its social media campaign, “ Paint With A Tweet.” It took her three weeks to write everyone’s name.
