Sure the 2011 season was exciting, but the league is looking to make its fans forget about the nasty lockup that dominated the headlines of last offseason with hit after hit. So when I see a company leveraging PR as part of a longer-termed strategy, I get excited.

If Salesforce makes Radian6 exclusive to their clients, Oracle users (for example) will have to consider switching vendors in order to continue using Radian6. While this is a hot buzz word for 2011, one has to wonder if the two platforms, packaged together are what a company needs.

There is no question that social media is the hotness for the 2010-2011 fiscal years for companies. Facebook for example, has over 500 million users on the site. The piece was entitled Are you creating social media scorched earth? It focused on companies that burn bridges with customers with one-off social media accounts.
