“Our objective is to bring the SPVM closer to the community and our use of social media helps us do this,” said Melissa who is a graduate of the University of Laval with a degree in journalism and has been a communications officer with the SPVM since 2004. Prior to the student demonstrations the SPVM Twitter profile had 10,000 followers.
