Turkish Airlines Video Ad Tops 100 Million Views

Turkish Airlines’ viral video ad, featuring Kobe Bryant and Argentine soccer star Lionel Messi, topped 100 million views on YouTube today. It takes the prize as the most-viewed travel ad in 2012 — even beating out Air New Zealand’s ‘Hobbit-themed’ safety briefing, which logged over 10 million views ( Skift ). Mobile Video: 92% of Viewers Share Content

Mobile video viewers are highly likely to share mobile video content, according to a new study by the Interactive Advertising Bureau. Out of the 200 mobile video viewers surveyed, 92% share mobile video content with others. And they do so often: 16% share mobile video content daily, and 33% do so weekly. Overall, nearly two-thirds of those surveyed share mobile video content at least once per month. .

Facebook Contest: Doritos Crowdsources Super Bowl Ads

Doritos is crowdsourcing the brand’s Super Bowl ads for the seventh year in a row, through the “Crash the Super Bowl” Facebook contest. The brand asked for entries from Oct. 8th through Nov. 16th, and has now narrowed it down to five finalists. Two of these five ads will run during the SuperBowl – one chosen by the brand, one chosen by the public.
