Periscope released an update for its website, which puts a large focus on curated channels.

With this update, users can browse featured curated channels based on specific topics or events, such as “Police, Race and America” or “NFL: Road to Super Bowl 51.” Users can also browse curated channels based on hashtags such as #Food, #Music or #Talk, among others.

In a blog post, Periscope said channels based on hashtags will be updated in real-time when someone in the community goes live with a broadcast.

In addition, the Twitter-owned livestreaming application said it will “continue to highlight breaking news events, such as the Charlotte protests, the coup in Turkey and #NoBillNoBreak, in stand-alone, featured channels.”
