Google+ Adds YouTube Search

Small Business Mavericks

Google+ was already a good and growing destination for Web marketers. It just got better. They’ve added a YouTube search feature. On the top right of your screen you’ll see the little YouTube icon. Click it and the search box extends inward.

Google Knol Is Dead

Small Business Mavericks

Google has finally decided to kill its Knol pages. The big question is, Why? It’s been 3 1/2 years since Google opened up its Knol pages to the public. My suspicion is the service isn’t as popular as Google initially thought it would be so they are either selling it or making some kind of deal with the new owners/developers to keep the product going under a new name.

Oh, they may have had a Twitter account three years ago. They might have created a YouTube account and a Facebook page. They may have even started answering questions on LinkedIn.

Small Business Mavericks

Some search engine optimizers are stuck on keywords and links. If you listen to them talk, these are the Holy Grail of online marketing. But are they? Don’t get me wrong. SEO is important. 3 Places To Get Your Articles Published Today

Small Business Mavericks

Article marketing has changed over the years. In the old days of article marketing, you could do a mass submit of your articles and see it appear all over the web. In a period of time you’d see a load of incoming links show up for your website and those inbound links helped you to rank better in the search engines. Mass submit article marketing still works to a limited degree, but it doesn’t work anything like it used to.
