Twitter Ads With Negative Keywords

Small Business Mavericks

Twitter has recently added another cool feature to its sponsored tweets advertising service – the use of negative keywords. If you’re wondering what a negative keyword is, it’s time to become intimately acquainted. These are words you don’t want to target but are usually associated with the word you do want to target. For instance, “Kevin” would be a negative keyword to “bacon,” unless you actually are talking about the actor.

The New Digital Minimalism

Twist Image

How much of what are you putting online? I was interested in a mobile app. I went to their website. There was not a lot of information. It featured two actions: Download the app. Watch a short video demo. Nothing more. Nothing less. There were no other tabs on the website. There were no testimonials, white papers, long-winded corporate drivel, jargon-filled product description and more.

The Space Between

Waxing UnLyrical

I had a marathon “start getting caught up on WUL” session yesterday (in fact, I’m typing this at 3:30 am today , though you won’t read it for a few hours more). Part of that entailed going through several old posts from the WUL team members, and as I was doing so, I realized that they all have dominant themes.

They’ve created lists aimed at women aged 40-plus, with kids, driving a family car, and working part-time from home. And there’s a list targeted to reaching those professionals who work in a particular field of industry or service.

The Matt Lauer #Fail…And the Anne Hathaway #PR win…

Jeff Esposito

This is a guest post from Elissa Freeman. . It was the crotch shot heard around the world. By now many of us have been exposed to Anne Hathaway’s private parts. Not a great moment for any starlet. And certainly one of the lowest points in Matt Lauer’s journalistic career.
