WhatsApp announced a major milestone for its WhatsApp Calling voice calling feature, saying that it has surpassed 100 million calls per day.
The Facebook-owned messaging application introduced voice calling for Android in February 2015, adding it to iOS that April.
WhatsApp said in a blog post:
For more than one year, people have used WhatsApp Calling to talk with friends and family around the world. It’s a great way to stay in touch, especially when connecting with people in other countries, or when messages alone won’t do.
