Tweet Buddy Media has released a report that reveals when it is most effective for brands to update their Facebook pages thus gaining the most impact on their users. The analysis was performed on 200 of Buddy Media’s clients during a two-week period. Effectiveness was measured according to comments and likes. When managing a page it is important to remember that effectiveness is highly depending on the behaviour of your users.

Tweet Two days ago, Diet Pepsi launched a new commercial, which features Sofia Vergara and David Beckham. The ad aired during an episode of NBC’s Chuck, and it features Sofia who is trying to clear the beach in Santa Monica in order to pick up a Diet Pepsi. At first, Sofia showed up in a Diet Pepsi print ad for the new skinny can, which wasn’t received very well.

Tweet The Danish startup Podio – often referred to as ‘Facebook for the workplace’ – has crossed the borders of Denmark. The official launch of Podio happened a bit differently by the company setting up a Podio store in San Francisco. From this store Podio would make people aware of their existence by targeting them on the street, hosting workshops and conferences in the store and letting people network etc.

Tweet Facebook’s security and privacy issues have been a much-debated topic for long. Now, Facebook adds the ability to use the platform through a HTTPS connection that should increase security for users. HTTPS means that the communication that runs between your computer and the webserver is encrypted. This makes it far more difficult for others to hack your profile and data, if you for instance use Facebook while you’re on a public wifi.
