A public outcry over the removal of Gilda Radner’s name from the iconic cancer support group has turned into a public relations and branding case study of ‘what not to do.’. When a local United States affiliate of Gilda’s Club decided to ‘freshen up’ their name in an effort to appeal to younger cancer patients, thus eliminating the ‘Gilda’ from Gilda’s Club, a social media maelstrom ensued.

The NFL season is nearing the end of the regular season. Chances are you know if your team has a shot of making the playoffs now. Over the course of the season, we have been using social media to predict the outcomes of the weekly games ( formulas here ). On the season this method of predicting games has notched a 106-78-1 mark. Each week we pit these picks up against a friend of mine to see who can pick them better.
