I’m Back On Facebook (Maybe). Now What?

Waxing UnLyrical

As of 12:30-ish pm ET this afternoon, I got back on Facebook… albeit with my account “restricted.” Even if it gets “unrestricted,” I’m not sure I will stay on, long-term. Why? Let’s rewind. My Facebook profile was hacked early August. I was able to get it back, then I was briefly put in Facebook Jail due to “suspicious activity” that was me wishing people “happy birthday” on FB (because I’m nice like that).

Curious About the Harvard Business Analytics Program? Your Questions, Answered.

Waxing UnLyrical

Going back to school. I enrolled in, and graduated, the Harvard Business Analytics Program on March 31, 2021. I’m constantly being asked about my experience there, partly because I’m a (volunteer) student ambassador, and partly, I think, because I’m not the typical post-grad business analytics student. So I decided to write a post about my experience, and what you should take into account if you’re considering enrolling.

“It’s the end of the world as we know it…” Before I go any further: I hope you and yours are safe and well. Now. Talk about the world being turned upside down, right? I imagine I’m not alone in R.E.M.’s “ It’s the End of the World As We Know It ” running through my head…! This pic is of a bird feeder in my backyard.

New Year’s Resolutions for the Social PR Pro

Waxing UnLyrical

The “three words” still rule. In my last post, I talked about how, instead of setting New Year’s Resolutions, I was instead going to put Chris Brogan’s “three words” exercise into practice. And I did, sharing why I chose them and what they mean for me as I get ready for the new year (as a reminder, they are Shed, Ground, Own ).

My Three Words for 2020

Waxing UnLyrical

Countdown to 2020: Part II. When I published last week’s post, I noted that it was exactly four weeks to 2020. Exactly four weeks not just to a new year, but a whole new decade. OMG. The next decade is already knocking on our door! Looking back. Last week, I talked about how, before getting ready to look forward , it’s appropriate to look back at the highs and lows of the decade we’re about to say goodbye to.
